Tools

For my translation work, I utilize a good number of tools in order to increase efficiency and produce professional results. These are, on the one hand, various reference works (general and specialist dictionaries, encyclopaedia, and, last but not least, the respective latest edition of the Duden, also known as the German "spelling bible"). On the other hand, I work on a high-end Windows computer with the required peripherals (several printers and scanners), a DSL Internet connection and various software packages:

		Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Frontpage)
		TRADOS Freelance (Translation Memory Software)
		PC Office-Bibliothek (various dictionaries published by the Duden-Verlag)
		QuarkXPress
		Adobe Acrobat
		Adobe PhotoShop.
